Student Volunteer

A kick-off meeting was held for student volunteers participating in Global Startup EXPO 2025!

On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, an online kick-off meeting was held for student volunteers from across Japan who will be supporting the Global Startup EXPO 2025(hereafter referred to as "GSE2025") A total of 58 students from diverse backgrounds, each with strong interest in startups and deep tech, will serve as student volunteer for GSE2025.

At the kick-off meeting, Ms. Morimoto, Section Chief at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, delivered a speech on behalf of the organizers. This was followed by an overview of DeepTech and GSE2025. In the second half, participants took part in a Q&A and networking session. Although held online, the meeting was highly productive and filled with enthusiasm. Participants expressed that they were able to build connections with fellow student volunteers and felt inspired and motivated for the upcoming GSE2025 event.

Student volunteers will play an important role in supporting the operation of GSE2025, which is being held for the first time, and conducting retrospectives and evaluations after the event. Additionally, as part of participation benefits, student volunteers will have the opportunity to engage in activities such as networking with deep-tech startup entrepreneurs and venture capitalists, and visiting innovation-related facilities. Through these experience, we hope that student volunteers will deepen your understanding of deep-tech, and regain inspiration from diverse players and fellow participants from both Japan and overseas, and ultimately turn this into a valuable opportunity for personal growth.
